“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2).
We all carry around big boulders on our shoulders. They are the boulders of finances, marital difficulty, parental problems, estrangement of relationships, physical pain, spiritual struggles, sins we have challenges killing, doubts about our faith, etc. We all have one of those or a combination of them. But as the family of God we are called to yoke up with our brothers and sisters to help carry these burdens.
So are there people in our church who need our prayers for any of these things? Are any of these people within our reach to provide assistance in other ways? Let’s think about these things, and seek how we might go about creatively providing our helping hand. And notice from the verse above, when we do reach out our hands, we are fulfilling the law of Christ = love.
